TPZ

In keeping with the 2012 Niagara Summit theme, Innovation Revolution, TPZ takes a bold and revolutionary approach to looking at Innovation, Collaboration and Execution. They will look at:

  • Innovation
To innovate, to be different, to stand out from the rest; don't do what everyone else does; TPZ will demonstrate ways to be creative, unique, and move the forward with new ideas.
  • Collaboration
Nobody accomplishes anything alone; to succeed, people need to understand the importance of working with others around them; collaboration requires trust, communication, cooperation - and practice!
  • Execution
Great ideas and plans mean nothing without execution; people need to carry out their vision and plans and need to do it with excellence. Get it done, and do it right.

Building Owners Embrace Smart Buildings
Jim Young
Founder & Principal, Realcomm

Join Jim Young, Founder and Principal of Realcomm as he leads an open and lively discussion with C-Suite executives from leading commercial, corporate and government organizations.

Building automation has been around for a number of years and has typically been embraced by building engineers and facility management personnel. With the prevalence of open and IP-centric intelligent building systems the topic has expanded and is getting the attention of a broader segment of the built environment including IT, business executives (CEOs, CIOs, COOs), facilities and energy/sustainability.

Specifically, the commercial, corporate and government real estate sectors are jumping the chasm and are now implementing world-class strategies for their building portfolios. This session will include those real estate thought leaders that are at the front of this trend and they will share their thoughts on the future of the smart, connected, high-performance, intelligent building industry.

Breaking the Myth of Innovation
Scott Wayne and Rana June
The Frontier Project

This keynote will feature a dynamic talk on the topic of innovation, technology, and what can happen when the two converge. Frontier Project's Scott Wayne will lead the group through an intense discussion about innovation, idea generation, and creative thinking. Speaking with Scott will be Rana June, a technologist who gained notoriety by shifting the way music is produced and played through her work as an iPad DJ. Together they will break down the myths that surround innovation, and demonstrate how to move ideas into action. Rana will close the keynote with a short performance.
