Plan on Something Fun

I'm taking a break from blogging about innovation to share some of the preconference activities we have planned for the 2012 Niagara Summit. We’ve added a few new activities and hope that you find something that gets you ready to go for the Niagara Summit

Saturday, April 28 – Special Training Session

Training Session

At this time, we’re trying to finalize the details on the topic, but any registered Attendee or Exhibitor is welcome to attend this training session at no additional cost. The session will be led by Tridium’s top notch Training team. Registration is limited to the first 100 signups. We’ll have more information in the next few weeks.

Sunday, April 29 – Pre-Conference Activities

Niagara Summit Golf Tournament

The Niagara Summit Golf Tournament will be held at the Siena Golf Club, not very far from the Red Rock. Transportation will be provided as will a boxed breakfast at the course. This year, we will have a $10,000 hole in one contest, so start practicing! Cost for the tournament is $195 per player. Club rentals are available for $50. Please indicate Left or Right handed clubs on the registration form. Shoe rentals are not available, so plan on bringing your own.

Hiking in Red Rock Canyon

For those looking for a chance to commune with a nature, this is the activity for you! Hop on board the shuttle provided and experience the nearby Red Rock Canyon up close and personal. This guided tour will help you discover the unique flora and fauna present in the canyon. While we can’t guarantee you’ll see these creatures, the Canyon is home to Gila monsters, coyotes, roadrunners, jackrabbits and other desert animals. Cost for the guided tour is $125 per person and includes transportation, bottled water, snacks, guide and gratuities. A minimum of 12 hikers are required for this experience to take place.

Dune Buggies in the Desert

Here’s your chance to channel your own off road Speed Racer! Hop in one of these sturdy dune buggies and start chasing your group leader. Just remember, if you aim for a rock, you’ll hit the rock! Your playground is the 15,000 acre Vegas Dunes which consists of dunes, gravel, hard pack, hills, valleys, creek beds and trails running in every direction. Cost for the Dune Buggy experience is $225 per person and includes transportation, safety gear, bottled water, t-shirt and gratuities. Please indicate shirt size on the registration form.

Afternoon Wine Tasting at the Red Rock

After you’ve had a chance to get the desert dust off after your morning activity, you’ll have the chance for something more civilized with a wine tasting with a sommelier from the Red Rock Resort. You’ll get to sample several wines while enjoying some delicious food pairings prepared by the culinary team at Red Rock. Cost is $165 per person and is limited to 50 participants.

Registration will be opening soon. Be sure to sign up!
